Wednesday August 8th Evening: Just Growing had a great DIY cider press workshop with about 30 people attending, mostly from the Madison Lodge. People learnt how to build an Apple Cider Press using a Car Jack.

We’ll try to glean more apples and keep them supplied with juice this fall.  Everyone loved the taste of freshly pressed apple cider!

Just Growing will use this new device to press neighbourhood apples for a fundraiser and to make cider for our Annual Harvest Festival. Stay tuned for details!
