Mission & Vision

A Rochaโ€™s mission is to live out Godโ€™s calling to care for creation and equip others to do likewise.

We envision a hope-filled world where communities flourish as people and nature thrive together.

Five Commitments

Christian โ€“ย We follow Jesus Christ, who created the world and calls us to care for it.

Conservation โ€“ย We protect and restore nature and are committed to local placesย and people over the long term.

Community โ€“ย We invest in good relationships through our commitment to God,ย one another and the wider creation.

Cultural Diversity โ€“ย We celebrate the insights, perspectives, and solutions offeredย by our diverse cultures.

Collaboration โ€“ย We seek to work with anyone who shares ourย vision.

Environmental Stewardship

A Rocha is an international Christian organization which, inspired by Godโ€™s love, engages in scientific research, environmental education, community-based conservation projects and sustainable agriculture.

Transformational Engagement

We envision the transformation of people and places by showing Godโ€™s love for all creation.
Restoring salmon habitat, training young scientists, inspiring school children, feeding low-income families – A Rocha is transforming people and places through hands-on conservation projects, environmental education programs and sustainable agriculture initiatives.

The A Rocha Canada office is grateful to work within the Tatalu (Little Campbell River) Watershed on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish people: including Semiahmoo, Kwantlen, Stรณ:loฬ„ and WฬฑSรNEฤ† First Nations.

Our centres across Canada are located within many ancestral lands and territories. For our land acknowledgements and commitment to reconciliation:
