A Rocha has been pleased to have two interns, Mitch Campbell and Marine Montmagnon, working on the Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network (CABIN) project in recent months. As well as teaching our interns invaluable skills in taxonomy, the project monitors the water quality of the Little Campbell watershed by collecting and analyzing freshwater invertebrates. By analyzing these bugs we are able to determine the water quality of the Little Campbell watershed as these invertebrates have different tolerances to pollution, oxygen depletion and many other issues affecting the overall water quality. This project has been successfully running for four years.
