A BIG THANKS to Henry & Elma Martens for their four years of service as A Rocha’s Manitoba Team Leaders.  Henry and Elma were instrumental in establishing the Pembina Valley Field Study Centre, and have welcomed countless A Rocha visitors over the past few years.  They recently moved from the Centre to their new home in Morden and are excited to continue their involvement with A Rocha as volunteers.  Henry plans to continue building and maintaining the trails on the Centre’s 100 acres, and Elma will continue to help out with the on-site vegetable garden.  Nick and Susan Pharoah are excited to take up the role as Interim Directors at the Pembina Valley Centre and carry on the vision for conservation and hospitality set by Henry and Elma. A celebration honouring the Martens’ contribution to A Rocha will be held on July 4th – all are welcome!
