A Rocha Brooksdale team conducted a follow-up survey this week to see if there might be any more endangered Salish Suckers in the Little Campbell River. We set traps in suitable habitat areas with Dr. Mike Pearson, a local biologist with expertise in Salish Sucker research and management. We are very happy to report that two male Salish Suckers were found in the upper watershed! Further study will be initiated to assess the condition and extent of this population in the watershed.
