The Corn and Apple Festival is one of Morden, Manitoba’s largest community events.  Organizers estimate 60,000 attendees at this year’s event!  Taking advantage of the opportunity for wide exposure, A Rocha partnered with Kelly Stock of CLER (Community Led Emissions Reduction Initiative) to disseminate information about both A Rocha and also practical ways to reduce one’s carbon footprint.  Our joint booth got lots of attention thanks to our bicycle-powered “non-carbon” Smoothie Maker.  As participants pedaled their way to a yummy beverage, Kelly and A Rocha staff engaged attendees in a dialogue focused on emissions reductions through biking, recycling and composting.
