Our annual Harvest Festival, held at the Field Study Centre in Surrey, has always been a chance to celebrate the bounty of creation and the goodness of God.  The day is filled with apple pressing, garlic braiding, barn dancing and pumpkin harvesting – just the right mix of good fun and hard work!  This year there was special reason to celebrate as we marked the end of seven years on this special property and look forward to the transition of Centre programming to Brooksdale Farm.  The event was full of nostalgia as we turned the page on such a good chapter of A Rocha’s history in Canada. We are encouraged that the buyers chosen through the A Rocha Board of Directors’ Request for Proposal process are longtime friends of A Rocha and are eager to partner in our work.  Thus, the conservation and sustainable agriculture initiatives already established will continue.  Yet another reason to celebrate!
