Interested in a field trip?
All our K-12 programs are tied into the science learning outcomes for BC curriculum. We prefer to integrate Indigenous Ways of Learning into our engagement methods.
A Rocha BC’s Environmental Centre’s educators come with extensive teaching experience and are passionate about opening windows of wonder for children. All of our programs are tied to the BC curriculum learning outcomes and are delivered through hands-on experience. We offer Science programs for Kindergarten, and Grades 1 to 12. We also offer creative learning opportunities for Language Arts, Arts Education or Culinary Arts in a natural setting. Check out our program offerings below!
Alternate program offerings:
- We are able to offer French Immersion programs.
- 1h Virtual Field Trip (weather dependent) for international schools: Content is adaptable according to the students’ learning needs e.g. sustainable farm practices, salmon spawning and forest exploration, ESL, etc.
What to Expect
Our two hour program is conducted outside, rain or shine. The program starts with a short tour to understand more about A Rocha’s work. We value small group hands-on learning experience and so the class is divided into three groups to do three different activities in rotation. Each activity is led by dedicated and passionate staff and interns.
