One of the core commitments of A Rocha is cooperation. We work with a wide variety of organizations who share our concern for a sustainable world because in so doing we multiply the impact for on-the-ground conservation and education outreach. Our partnerships span the country from BC to Manitoba to Ontario.

Recently we teamed up with the Little Campbell Fish Hatchery in Surrey, BC, during their “Salmon Release” which involved education and the release of over 55,000 salmon fry into the Little Campbell River. This event was part of the City of Surrey’s annual Environmental Extravaganza.

On May 14th we partnered with the Oak Ridges Maraine Land Trust during a work day at the Starcliff Nature Reserve. On this beautiful and unique 7-hectare property, we continued to develop and maintain the interpretive trail, helped in the construction of the mobile boardwalk, monitored the bluebird nesting boxes, and repaired the observation platform overlooking the ecologically-significant kettle lake and wetland.

In all these endeavors we are building bridges of trust and respect with the wider conservation community as we work together to care for creation.
