A Rocha is partnering with the Bridgeway Foundation to help communities across Canada start their own community gardens. These gardens are a fabulous way to care for the earth, make connections with your community, and also provide healthy food for those living in poverty.
In order to equip new community gardeners in the fine art of organic gardening, A Rocha has launched “The Plot Thickens” workshop covering the “how-tos” of community gardening. Garden enthusiasts in Surrey, BC and Ottawa, ON, have already benefited from the workshop’s hands-on training. Additional workshops are being planned for Calgary, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Victoria.
A Rocha’s Community Garden Network, which is composed of over 30 churches and communities across Canada, is already making a significant impact on people and places! Our network offers workshops, regular garden updates, resources, and the seeds for wonderful relationships.
Email us at action@arocha.ca with questions about workshops in your area, resources or profiling your community garden in our network.
