Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Last spring we installed 30 bluebird boxes at Cedar Haven Farm. I wrote about that experience here. We had at least one pair take up residence, but I was promised by a local expert that we’d get better numbers in future years. He claimed that the bluebirds would come by and check out the accommodations as they passed by while on migration. I must say, I was a little skeptical, but yesterday a friend sent this picture of a pair of bluebirds he saw checking out our work. Very encouraging!
