The Pembina Valley Interpretive Centre provides hands-on learning experiences in nature. Programs are designed around Manitoba Education’s curriculum learning outcomes.
The rich biodiversity of the Pembina Valley with its forest, prairie, pond and creek ecosystems enable students to explore and discover as they learn. Through their increased knowledge and direct experience, students leave with a greater wonder and enjoyment of the natural world.
The focus of our programming is environmental education. However, we also integrate history and social studies to our lessons and encourage students to think about the ways they depend on ecological systems and how their actions can impact the earth.
