School field trips

A Rocha Brooksdale Environmental Centre’s educators come with extensive teaching experience and are passionate about opening windows of wonder for children. All of our K-12 programs are tied to the BC curriculum learning outcomes and are delivered through hands-on experience. We offer Science programs for Kindergarten up to Grade 12. We also offer creative learning opportunities for Language Arts, Arts Education or Culinary Arts, French Immersion and more in a natural setting. We prefer to integrate Indigenous Ways of Learning into our engagement methods. Check out our program offerings below!

Program Offerings
What to Expect
Our two hour program is conducted outside, rain or shine. The program starts with a short tour to understand more about A Rocha’s work. We value small group hands-on learning experience and so the class is divided into three groups to do three different activities in rotation. Each activity is led by dedicated and passionate staff and interns.
Please download and read this Teacher Information Package to prepare fully for a field trip to A Rocha BC’s Environmental Centre.
Thank you so much for supporting our Environmental Education programs! Your support allows us to continue our work with underserved communities.
