At the Saanich Community Food Bank Garden they recently harvested baby beets, lettuce, kale and 30lbs of peas for the Mustard Seed Food Bank in Victoria, B.C. The largest food bank on Vancouver Island serving 7000 people each month.
What a wonderful redistribution of time, energy and sustainably-grown food! Share with us what you are harvesting right now from your Community Garden on our Facebook Page!
This garden group also recently hosted University of Victoria students wanting to learn more about Shalom in a Bible Study. A Community Garden is not only a great venue for meetings but also also be a place to harvest new friendships and healthy bodies and minds.
Look at how the ground is transformed!
