Winter Activities, Potluck Supper and Evening Program (Ottawa/Gatineau, ON)

Join A Rocha Ottawa for our Winter Activities, Potluck Supper and Evening Program with Loren and Mary Ruth Wilkinson!
If you are unable to the afternoon activities, feel free to join us for supper and the evening program.
2:00 pm Winter Activities
Join us in Gatineau Park for winter outdoor activities including hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. You can choose your activity. Skiers will divide up into different groups based on ability. We have plenty of cross-country ski equipment available for those who don’t have any (please let us know if you need equipment). If you intend to snowshoe you will need to bring your own snowshoes. Meet at 264 Kingsmere at 2:00 pm. (for directions or for a ride please send an e-mail to: email@example.com).

7:00 pm Making Peace with Creation with Loren and Mary Ruth Wilkinson
For more than fifty years Loren and Mary Ruth have been teaching and writing about our relation to the created world. They have co-authored the book Caring for Creation in Your Own Backyard. Loren is professor emeritus of philosophy and interdisciplinary studies at Regent College in Vancouver. He also edited two editions of the book Earthkeeping. We will be watching the documentary film Making Peace with Creation which was written and presented by Loren.

Note: Loren will be giving a talk related to his new book Circles and the Cross: Cosmos, Consciousness, Christ, and the Human Place in Creation at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19 at the Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa (252 Metcalfe St.) This talk is hosted by the Canadian Scientific and Christian Affiliation and co-sponsored by A Rocha. https://csca.ca/ottawa/
