Lent is a solemn Christian practice of reflection, repentance, prayer and fasting. This 40 day period leading up to Easter invites Christians to intentionally set aside time to deepen oneโ€™s faith and commitment to God.

You are invited on a lenten journey focused on lamenting with God and creation for creeks and rivers that have been lost, degraded, or altered as a result of human demand.

What will this journey look like? Once per week Scott will host a prayer walk in the location of a lost creek in the city of Winnipeg. The walk will begin with a short opening prayer and brief acknowledgment of this creekโ€™s history. In addition, Scott will share briefly about another river in Canada and/or the world to be held in prayer/solidarity along with the place and people who are impacted by the demands placed on it.ย ย

We will walk for a total 30mins (return). During our walk you are invited to contemplate, pray (silently), and if you are able pick up garbage (bring gloves/bags).
