Junior Streamkeepers Nature Club

Join us for a fun, hands-on adventure that connects kids with nature—through salmon! Each day, we’ll explore our local watershed with exciting science lessons, creek walks to Buck Creek, creative art projects, games, and stories from Indigenous perspectives. Together, we’ll discover the salmon’s journey and learn how to protect their home—and ours!

Ages 6-8 – Each Wednesday  starting June 25th until August 13 (no camp July 30)

Ages 9-11 – Each Thursday starting June 26 until August 14 (no camp July 31)

Come to one, two or all the days (Discount for a full summer pass).

June 25/26 – Wood, water and weeds – Explore what Salmon need to survive

July 9/10 – From Stream to Sea – Exploring the lifecycle of salmon

July 16/17 – Bear, bugs and beetles – Explore how salmon fit into the food web

July 23/24 – Fish as food – Explore how salmon are used by humans and hear stories from local salmon knowledge keepers, learn how to cook a salmon over a fire and taste some smoked salmon for yourself

Aug 6/7 – Restoring the riverside – Plant a tree, explore the riverside and learn how you can care for the river.

Aug 13/14 – Salmon Celebration – Celebrate salmon and the end of Streamkeepers club with a wrap up and treats.

Time: 9 am – 3 pm

Max 24 kids per day

Cost: $40/day (includes snack & lunch)

Instructions: Bring your own water bottle and dress for the weather! We will go outside rain or shine.

A Rocha is a Christian environmental stewardship organization and our camp will include short reflections on Creation Care.
