Greenbelt Bruce Trail Hike (Burlington, ON)
March 29 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am EDT
Join us on March 29th for our Greenbelt Bruce Trail Hike, led by friend of A Rocha Ontario and local expert of the Bruce Trail, David Schuurman.
On this exploratory hike, we will discover more about the Bruce Trail Conservancy, Niagara Escarpment, and the 2 million acres of protected land that makes up Ontario’s Greenbelt. We will also learn how to read the trail blazes, discuss tips for doing an “End to End” on the Bruce Trail, and learn about how we can impact the health and future of our essential Greenbelt.
This event is open to adults and families. Please register below.
Note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. Children age 4 and under are eligible to attend for free but registration is still required; remember to select the “young child” ticket option.
Sliding Scale Pricing
We believe in the value of our programs and we know you do too! That’s why we have introduced sliding scale pricing this year; we are happy to have you come at any rate you select. Instead of a fixed fee, you can choose from one of three fee options when registering:
- Subsidized Rate: Choose this one if cost is a barrier to you attending. We are able to offer this option due to the generosity of our supporters, including donors and grants.
- True-Value Rate: This is what we estimate to be a fair cost for the event. It helps us cover costs of staff, materials, and other fees associated with running the event.
- Pay-It-Forward Rate: Choose this one if you want to invest in the future of A Rocha programming and help others be able to come at the subsidized rate.
By offering tiered pricing, we aim to balance affordability with sustainability, making our programs accessible while also providing participants with an opportunity to support their community. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at ontario@arocha.ca.
