Fall Colours Hike, Supper and Presentation on Brooksdale Internship
2:30 pm Fall Colours Walk: Join us at the home of Paul and Monique Heintzman in Gatineau Park for a walk along the King Mountain Trail. Features of this trail include panoramic views of the fall colours in Gatineau Park, the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley.
5:30 pm Potluck Supper: Please RSVP to paul.heintzman@arocha.ca and let us know what you plan to bring so that we can plan accordingly.
7:00 pm Presentation on Brooksdale Internship by Elise Urness:
Elise (Huculiak) Urness will be speaking to us about her six-month experience as an intern at A Rocha’s Brooksdale Field Study Centre in Surrey, BC. Elise is a native of British Columbia. She holds an undergraduate degree in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Management from the University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George. Currently she is enrolled in a masters degree in biology at Carleton University.
If you are unable to attend all three parts of the event, feel free to attend the parts that you can.
