Butterflies are highly dependent on plants during their life cycles. During this talk, you will learn about the types of butterflies that move through our community. But just like all creatures, butterflies also depend on their habitats. And so you’ll also learn about the plants that attract and support these butterflies.

Master gardener Tanya Wainio will open the evening with a presentation on adding native plants your garden to support and attract pollinators, including butterflies. Following this, Entomologist Luc Blanchette will present on the characteristics of the butterflies you might attract.

Join us at 7:30pm for a tour of the Winkler Horticultural Society’s recently established butterfly garden at the Winkler Arts and Culture Centre.
