As part of our interns experience at A Rocha, we try each term to create some sort of off site get-away that allows for people to get to know each other better and also allows for some intentional times of learning and discussion.  This April, we ended our winter term with a trip to Galiano Island where we spent a lot of hours restoring traditional rowing/sailing boats that will be used later this summer as part of the summer get-away for the interns.  We also spent time each day in prayer, bible study and singing. Though much of the time of this get-away was spent working, many expressed appreciation for the change of scenery and the opportunities that a new place opened for further interaction and engagement with others.
