Christmas Bird Count – Family Edition (Winnipeg, MB)

For a number of years A Rocha has participated in the North American Christmas Bird Count at our centre in East Braintree. This year we invite families to participate in a kid-friendly bird count right here in Winnipeg! You are welcome to this event whether you are a seasoned birder, or just starting out.
Inspired by the well-loved, traditional Christmas Bird Count, the CBC4Kids engages new generations of young birders across North America.
Our observations will be collected and submitted to eBird Canada for use in scientific research!
We will gather outside at 215 Canora St. (across from Vimy Ridge Park in Wolseley) and take a leisurely stroll through the neighbourhood to see what kinds of birds we can spot. We will end up back at Scott’s house for a bonfire and hot chocolate.
Bring warm clothes and boots, and binoculars (we’ll provide some for the kids).
