Overview

Faith in Action: Churches caring for creation

“I deeply value the ongoing role A Rocha has as a catalytic Christian creation care organization.”
David Wells, General Superintendent, The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada

“I’m … spearheading the development of a creation care focus for our congregation. A heartfelt thanks to A Rocha for shining a light on [all the] possibilities.”

David Wiebe, Westwood Community Church, Winnipeg, MB

The Head, Hands, Heart model

The Head, Hands, Heart model combines thoughtful learning, practical action, and worshipful reflection to guide churches in responding to God’s call to care for creation. Ideally, an Earthkeeping Church integrates all three categories into their efforts to care for creation.

Head

Public Articulation

Churches commit to learning about creation care and the natural world, engaging minds with scripture, science, and Indigenous wisdom. This fosters an informed community prepared to act.
