Join A Rocha Ottawa for our Winter Activities, Potluck Supper and Evening Program!

If you are unable to attend all three parts of the event, feel free to attend the parts that you can.

Schedule:

2:00 pm Winter Activities

Join us in Gatineau Park for winter outdoor activities including hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. You can choose your activity. We will lead a group cross-country ski for anyone who would like to join us. We have plenty of cross-country ski equipment available for those who don’t have any. If you intend to snowshoe you will need to bring your own snowshoes. Meet at 264 Kingsmere at 2:00 pm. (for directions or if you need a ride please e-mail paul.heintzman@arocha.ca ).

5:30 pm Potluck Supper

7:00 pm Video recording of “A Place at the Table” Book Launch

We will watch and then discuss a videorecording of a book launch that took place last Nov. 15 that celebrated the release of “A Place at the Table” by the late A Rocha co-founder, Miranda Harris and her daughter Jo Swinney. This book focuses on the role of hospitality in the work of A Rocha. Co-hosted by the Regent Bookstore and A Rocha Canada, this videorecording features a short presentation, a reading by Jo Swinney, and a panel discussion with A Rocha’s Peter Harris and Jo Swinney.
