Grasslands People (Morden, MB)

When did you last spend time in a grassland? They are beautiful and fascinating places full of different grasses, birds, flowers, and bugs. Some grasslands are prairie preserves, some are lawn alternatives, and others are pasture for raising cattle. However, despite their value, these grasslands are disappearing. Join us in learning more about the grasslands in our community!
Leanna Wiebe will teach us about local grasslands – their value, management, and future – by sharing the experiences of the people in our community who care for and enjoy these grasslands. Leanna Wiebe has just completed a study of local grasslands with the Pembina Valley Conservation District and the RM of Stanley.
