Do you know the names of the plants and animals around you? How do you even find that out?? We can teach you!

BioBlitz 101 is an event meant to engage the community in their local environment and empower both kids and adults in becoming “citizen scientists”. You will sharpen your ecological knowledge and contribute to meaningful conservation work at the same time. You can make a difference in your local environment … and BioBlitz 101 is a great place to start!

We invite you to come participate in the entire day – otherwise, come for just one or two of the days activities:

7am – 9am // Birds & Mammals
9am – 11am // Insects & Herptiles
11am – 1pm // Plants, Trees & Wildflowers

Things to bring:

• outdoor clothing
• appropriate footwear for walking outside
• a water bottle
• sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
• binoculars (if you have them)
• feel free to pack a lunch to enjoy after the event
  

This is a kid-friendly event, but is meant for adults too!
