Join us for a day of learning and exploration at the Cedar Haven Eco-Centre: enjoy guided tours and talks that showcase the centre, our programs and A Rocha’s work of stewardship across the country.

Come for the entire afternoon, or for a specific talk — either way, please sign up below so we know you are coming. We look forward to seeing you at Cedar Haven!

1:00 pm — Making Connections with Anthony Siegrist (Ontario Director)

Our new director, Anthony, will introduce himself and share a bit about where A Rocha Ontario is headed. Together we’ll reflect on some of the connections that make living in God’s creation so rich and interesting.

1:45 pm — Nature Lesson with Jacoba Buist (Education Program Coordinator)

Our kids education is taking off! Jacoba will walk us through a nature lesson, and share a bit about what makes Cedar Haven programs like Nature Academy and Wild Things day camp so special. (Adults are also encouraged to participate!)

2:45 pm — Biodiversity Tour with Alan Constant (past Conservation Assistant)

Alan has spent three summers monitoring species and restoring habitats at Cedar Haven. Come learn more about the species we’re observing and how they are being protected. (And how you can help!)

3:30 pm — Local Actions Matter with Luke Wilson (CEO of A Rocha Canada)

The news overwhelms us about our sick planet. A Rocha focuses on place based conservation and education. Catalyzing hope and community. Luke will be discussing why and how change at the local level can make a world of difference.
