I usually have all kinds of Robins and Chickadees on my back deck in the morning and for a number of weeks they remained absent. Those Crows! (I thought) Hmmm… It was June 25th and I was chatting with the Lord about a number of yet to be resolved concerns in my life.  So I prayed that morning that He would show me His ways.  When I got to work I walked past the Robin’s nest – tucked in a shrub near the A Rocha Brooksdale office window.  For a number of days the Robin had been industriously building her perfectly formed nest and there she was that morning snuggly perched on top! For an uneasy moment I thought the nest was gone — her colours perfectly blending in to the shrubbery around her. Then it came to me so clearly, we do not see the whole picture of His plan – the Robins and Chickadees are at home incubating their eggs – they are not missing. So what of the things in our lives which cause us angst? The things that are missing or not as we think they should be.  Could it be that we do not recognize the Creator at work? That He, like the Robin, is brooding over newness of life and yes – it is on the way!
