Making a World of Difference
By Tearfund / Renew Our World
Lead author: Dave Bookless
Our world is not as it was created to be; from environmental decay, suffering, and political extremism, to conflict, poverty, and social and economic instability. But God is calling us, the church, to respond to this! This booklet tells you why, shows you how, and gives you hope that you can make a world of difference. It includes solid, biblical teaching on key topics – such as the climate and nature emergencies – and offers a theology of justice. It is complete with carefully crafted discussion questions for one person or a small group to use.
Also available in French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese, through Renew Our World – Resources
A Rocha Field Notes Podcast
By A Rocha International
We are living in a time of crisis for the planet. Our overuse and misuse of water, energy and food has led to dangerous levels of habitat loss, pollution, soil degradation and ocean acidification. As a result we face the giant issues of climate change, biodiversity loss, disease and poverty. A Rocha has always been a voice of hope in the environmental space. The Field notes podcast, hosted by Rick Faw and Jo Swinney, is an exploration of the ideas, practice and experience making a difference on the ground, through conversations with people who really know what they are talking about – from conservation scientists, explorers and biologists, to artists, entrepreneurs and theologians. They have hopeful stories to tell.

Lausanne Global Classroom – Creation Care Study Guide
By Lausanne Movement / Lausanne-WEA Creation Care Network
Stewardship of God’s creation (creation care) is a clear biblical command and an integral part of what it means to follow Jesus as Lord. ‘If Jesus is Lord of all the earth, we cannot separate our relationship to Christ from how we act in relation to the earth. For to proclaim the gospel that says “Jesus is Lord” is to proclaim the gospel that includes the earth, since Christ’s Lordship is over all creation. Creation care is thus a gospel issue within the Lordship of Christ’ (The Cape Town Commitment I-7-A).
But that’s not all: God’s creation is in the midst of a crisis that is ‘pressing, urgent, and that must be resolved in our generation’ (Jamaica Call to Action). This crisis, of which climate change and massive biodiversity loss are just a part, represents an existential threat to the future of human society. This Global Classroom helps fulfil the goal of engaging the church in various aspects of creation care, and seeks to inspire young leaders, established leaders, churches, organizations, and movements to understand the importance of creation care in all their ventures.

Planetwise: Dare to Care for God’s World
By Dave Bookless, Director of Theology, A Rocha International
Dave Bookless writes about green issues, but not through the lens of guilt. In these pages you will find solid biblical theology and, most importantly, hope that God can take your small and insignificant efforts and multiply them in his great plan to “reconcile all things unto Himself.” Besides honoring him, living simply can be an exciting adventure.
Since its publication in 2008, Planetwise has been translated into French, German, Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese.
