Project Description

Invasive Species Removal

Invasive species dominate an ecosystem by outcompeting other species for available resources. The impact can be a loss of the diversity found within an ecological community. A Rocha is working to reverse this trend in our region and establish more plant diversity. We have been actively monitoring and removing 4 invasive species: Common Buckthorn, Garlic Mustard, Reed Canary and Yellow Flag Iris.
