Savory Stories: A Farm-Based Creative Writing Workshop (Surrey, BC)

Are you a grateful eater curious about writing? An avid reader hungry for community connections? Or a writer whose only culinary skill lies in cooking up metaphors? Regardless of your background, you’re invited to experience the evocative power of food in this hands-on workshop that will engage all your senses and connect you to each other’s stories.

Enjoy a site tour of A Rocha Canada’s regenerative farm and heritage site, and sample some farm-fresh goodies on the way.

No prior writing (or cooking!) experience is necessary. An appreciation of food is enough.

For ages 16 and up.

What to Bring:

• Bring a water bottle, and come dressed for activities in the outdoors, rain or shine. Wear a hat, sunscreen and bring an extra layer and waterproof outer jacket for wet days. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and enjoy a picnic on the grounds after the event.
• Please note that pets are not permitted on the property.
