Nature Journaling Weekend Retreat at Camp Caledonia on Tyhee Lake

Give yourself the gift of time, creativity and curiosity!
Join us for a weekend adventure through the world of nature journaling at the beautiful Camp Caledonia on Tyhee Lake in Telkwa, BC. Learn new skills, meet new friends and connect with the natural world in a way that is both creative and scientific. No experience necessary. All you need is your 5 senses and the willingness to try!

What to expect:

Develop your observation skills, explore nature journaling techniques including sketching, adding color, playing with words, and finding numbers in nature. See the world in a whole new way and be inspired by curiosity and wonder.
Starting June 13 @ 5 pm
Ending June 15 @ 1pm
Cost includes: Meals, accommodations, instructional sessions, yoga and supplies.
Location: Camp Caledonia (affectionately known as “Camp Cal”), is a multi-use facility located on the edge of beautiful Tyhee Lake. The camp is located on the Telkwa High Road between Telkwa and Smithers, in northern British Columbia.
You will have your choice of accommodations including: Shared cabin, private room in main building, shared room in main building or bring your own tent or trailer.

Sessions include:

  • Nature Journaling tips and tricks
  • Wooing the Natural World with Words: Powerful tools to capture and share special moments in nature with local writer, Jamie Bastedo
  • Nature Sketching with Pencil and Pen with local artist, Shannon Goodhead
  • Adding life to your Journaling with Watercolor with local artist, Jill Dunbar
  • Yoga for mindfulness and connection with local yoga instructor Phillipa Beck
  • Learning to observe like a naturalist with local nature educator, Cindy Verbeek
