Salmon Hatchery Grand Opening, Houston BC

A Rocha’s Upper Bulkley River Streamkeepers in Houston, BC have been working towards a watershed stewardship facility on land provided by Canadian Forest Products near the confluence of Buck Creek and the Upper Bulkley River. The salmon hatchery and streamkeepers lab (Phase 1) is near its completion and we want you to celebrate with us!
Join us at the grand opening and celebrate with a BBQ lunch (by donation), crafts for the kids, entertainment, silent auction, door prizes and a tour of the new facility that will house coho salmon fry over the winter. Everyone is welcome!

Directions to the facility: Turn north off of Highway 16 in Houston at the 7-11 onto N. Tweedie Avenue, cross the tracks and turn east (right) onto W 5th Street.
