Saturday, May 9th is John Stott Memorial Birding Day! On this day, we celebrate a great friend and supporter of A Rocha, John Stott. John is remembered as a theologian, pastor and avid birdwatcher. So to honour his legacy, we are welcoming all to join us for a morning of recreational birding at the A Rocha Ontario Centre!

To ensure that everyone, regardless of experience level, is able to participate in and enjoy this day to the fullest, we are offering 2 sessions for this event: the Early Bird(er) and the Flock. Each session will be roughly 2 hours long.

• The Early Bird(er) session will begin at 7:30am and is designed for experienced birders. This session will feature a quieter, guided bird walk around the property that will allow for more focused and peaceful observation of the birds onsite.
• The Flock session will begin at 9am and is designed for new birders and families. This session will be very beginner-friendly! It will begin with an orientation to birding and birding etiquette, and will include a guided bird walk as well as other optional activities for children and families.

This event is open to adults and families. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
