Brooksdale Development Assistant
Julie came to A Rocha as a Sustainable Agriculture Intern in 2019 with a variety of experiences in Christian ministry, education, and cross-cultural community living. Growing up on a small farm she has learned to appreciate the simplicity, beauty, and hard work that brings the gift of food to the table.
Her love of the natural world led her to complete her BSc in Biology and her desire to share that love effectively with others led her to complete a BEd in Elementary Education. With 6 years of teaching and environmental education under her belt and 6 years experience working with a Christian non-profit focusing on discipleship and intercultural community living, Julie is so excited to see all her passions woven together at A Rocha. She brings her love for intentional community, and her hope in all things growing to her role as Brooksdale Development Assistant in which she will be providing support to the Farm to Families program as well as Brooksdale general operations.
