Project Description

Equipping youth to care for creation!

The EarthKeepers Club is a free program offered to youth (ages 12-16) who are eager to gain hands-on experience caring for the natural world. Through this program, young people can learn more about conservation and connect with like-minded individuals.

Once a month, in the spring, summer and fall, the EarthKeepers Club gets together at the Cedar Haven Eco-Centre to contribute to hands-on conservation projects! Some of these projects include: nest box monitoring, wildlife identification and surveying, invasive species removal, and trail maintenance. As well, for each meetup attended, participants can earn five volunteer hours toward their high-school community involvement. No experience is required to participate! Our experienced and enthusiastic staff and volunteers work to ensure that each of our meetings are educational, immersive and inclusive.
