Project Description
Dezene, his wife, Joyel, and their two boys, Eli and Marcus, live in Prince George, British Columbia. Dezene is a professor in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Northern British Columbia. He and his research team and collaborators study forest and aquatic insect ecology and work to apply their findings for better ecosystem management and conservation.
He has been working with A Rocha since aboutย 2012 and he appreciates the work done by the organization as itย links well with his conservation research interests and passion for teaching and learning about natural history.ย Integration of faith communities into the work of conservation will be vital as our society works to address the interacting crises of climate change, habitat degradation, and biodiversity loss, and Dezene is excited to be a part of that through his ongoing role at A Rocha.
