National Communications Officer
Dannie presents the transformational stories of A Rocha Canada through communications development and coordination. She brings years of not-for-profit work in tow alongside a background in nature interpretation, program planning, and coordination of wildlife co-existence initiatives across the Lower Mainland.
Hailing from the Philippine tropics, Dannie fondly remembers birds and geckos in the house and summer camps in the rainforest. Her love for living things flourished in the move to Canada through a Natural Resource Conservation degree, bird surveys in Ladner, and fending off polar bears in the Arctic. Dannie first connected with A Rocha as an intern in 2011, and hasn’t really left since. Her nearness to God calls her to seek nearness with all creation, and she continues to explore the role of conservation in building strong and vibrant communities. She is filling in this role until summer of 2022.
