Project Description

Environmental Education Coordinator

Amy began her work with A Rocha in 2023 as an Environmental Educator at the Ontario hub, the Cedar Haven Eco. Centre. While in that position, she taught the Grade 5/6 class and led field trips and the Operation Wild program. She holds a BA in Secondary Education Biology from a Christian University in Pennsylvania, and has held a variety of teaching and science related jobs, including being a supply teacher at a private Christian high school, running her own yoga business, and a honey bee education business with her husband and two children.

Amy loves people! Through gratitude and joy, she prioritizes creating inclusive, fun experiences to connect our own personal stories to the environment and each other. She hopes that these connections will encourage us to appreciate and explore deeper and bring others along in our discoveries and excitement.

Her weekly rhythms, outside of work, include hiking with her standard poodle, Brio, baking, and some form of fitness.
