DESCRIPTION:Spend your upcoming PA Day at St. Cuthbert’s Church with A Rocha Ontario!\nAt this 1-day nature camp\, your child will have the opportunity to learn about and build a personal connection to the natural world. Each nature camp program will be filled with nature experiences\, science experiments\, storytelling\, nature-based art and fun games! Together\, we will explore nature from both familiar and new perspectives\, building friendships and fond memories along the way. \nThis event is open to children ages 5-13. \nSliding Scale Pricing\nWe believe in the value of our programs and we know you do too! That’s why we have introduced sliding scale pricing this year; we are happy to have you come at any rate you select. Instead of a fixed fee\, you can choose from one of four fee options when registering: \n\nAccessible Rate: Choose this one if cost is a significant barrier to you attending and/or you identify as a member of a community facing systemic barriers to wealth accumulation (ie. you identify as BIPOC\, single-parent household\, low-income family\, etc).\nSubsidized Rate: Choose this one if cost is a barrier to you attending. We are able to offer this option due to the generosity of our supporters\, including donors and grants.\nTrue-Value Rate: This is what we estimate to be a fair cost for the event. It helps us cover costs of staff\, materials\, and other fees associated with running the event.\nPay-It-Forward Rate: Choose this one if you want to invest in the future of A Rocha programming and help others be able to come at the subsidized rate.\n\nBy offering tiered pricing\, we aim to balance affordability with sustainability\, making our programs accessible while also providing participants with an opportunity to support their community. SUMMARY:Peek Into Spring Day Camp (Surrey\, BC)
DESCRIPTION:Join A Rocha for our Spring break daycamp! We’ll investigate the river\, wetland\, soil and forest with hands-on up-close activities!\n\n\n\nPeek into our Spring break Day Camp! We will spend every day (9am-3pm) outdoors\, exploring the wetland\, forest and soil at A Rocha’s Brooksdale Environmental Centre. Look for signs of spring through hands-on activities\, games\, songs and crafts! \nBring your own snacks (both morning and afternoon)\, lunch and water bottle. Come dressed for activities in the outdoors\, rain or shine. Wear a hat\, and bring an extra layer and waterproof outer jackets for wet days. Boots required for rain! Bring an extra set of clothes\, just in case. Let’s get lost and found together!\nThis spring break\, come figure out where we are during two adventure days! \n \nYou can sign up for just one day or both! \nWe’ll learn how to use a compass and do some orienteering in the forest\, we’ll make art out of our surroundings\, we’ll build devices to figure out the time and weather\, and we’ll discover what parts of our surroundings we might be able to eat! \n \nCome discover where we are\, and maybe even find yourself becoming a part of the world around you! \n\nOur pop-up camps always include: \n– Time outside\n– Discovery/learning\n– Games\n– Art projects\n– Morning AND afternoon snacks!\n\nWhen? March 31 and/or April 1\, 2026 from 9am to 3:30pm \nWhere?
