SUMMARY:Winter Adventure Day (Winnipeg\, MB)
DESCRIPTION:This winter we are hosting a one-day pop up camp! Almost every school in Winnipeg has Feb. 2 off\, so let’s celebrate Groundhog’s Day together with a day of exploring\, creating\, and playing outside! \nWe’ll spend the day thinking\, playing\, building\, and creating on the theme of one of God’s cutest\, and most troublesome\, garden-nibblers—the groundhog! \nBuilding cardboard box tunnels! Playing in the snow! Crafting! Eating snacks! \nSound good to you? Come join us for a day of adventure! \nOur pop-up camps always include:\n – Time outside\n – Discovery/learning\n – Games\n – Art projects\n – Morning AND afternoon snacks! \nWhen? Feb 2\, 2025 – 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Drop off begins at 8:45 am) \nWhere? The Mennonite Heritage Gallery (600 Shaftesbury Blvd) \nAges 6-12 \nCost: $30 (plus tax) per camper \n\n Use code POPUP10 to receive a 10% discount if registering more than 1 camper!\n\n\n\n\n\nIs this camp right for my child?\n\n\n\nAs a Christian conservation organization we strive to create warm\, inclusive\, quality environmental education programs that care for creation and equip others to do likewise. Our goal is to inspire hope\, wonder and curiosity through hands-on\, place-based immersive science education. By providing students with the opportunity to expand their eco-literacy and familiarity with the natural world\, our desire is that as a reflection of this knowledge\, their appreciation\, care and love of that space deepen and develop alongside their learning and exploration. \nOur work reflects our belief that God loves all of creation and calls humanity to act as stewards of that creation – both the human and non-human bits \nDiving Deeper into our Christian theology: \nWe aim to provide inclusive programming for a wide range of cultural backgrounds within our community. With that in mind\, we welcome insights from all cultures to address environmental challenges- to learn and grow from one another\, while remaining rooted in our calling to care for creation out of a love from the Creator. \nClick here for more information.

SUMMARY:Church Earthkeepers: Let's Share (Feb 10\, 2026)
DESCRIPTION:This Month’s Church Earthkeepers: Let’s Share: \nChurches care for creation in many\, many different ways. The diversity truly is vast. Compostable cups\, planting gardens\, and installing solar panels merely scratch the surface. Join us for an earthkeeping idea exchange as we swap stories and imagine new possibilities of congregational earthkeeping that encourage and inspire. \nSign upAbout our facilitator: \nRick Faw has played a key role at A Rocha Canada since 2004 and now serves as Education Director. With training in both science (BSc) and theology (MCS)\, he has a unique ability to help people connect their spiritual lives with the natural world. Passionate about teaching and his love of the outdoors\, Rick makes his home at Kingfisher Farm in Surrey\, BC\, with his family. \nMore about the Monthly Church Earthkeepers Meet-Up: \nAre you mobilizing your church to care for creation? Do you wish more people shared your interest? Then join like-minded folks for a Church Earth keepers Meet-Up. At these monthly sessions we’ll learn from each other by swapping stories as a way to encourage and equip us to catalyze earth keeping at church. Come prepared to share your ideas and to hear what works for others as we build a network of regular people working to care for creation within a local church setting. \nSpecial Note: \nWe’re excited to share that Church Earthkeepers Meet-Ups will follow a new rhythm and we will now meet earlier at 9.30AM to 10.45AM PDT / 12.30PM to 1.45PM EDT. We hope this change creates more space to connect\, learn\, and be inspired together. \nNot able to make the meet-up but keen to find out more? Wherever you’re at\, we’re here to walk with you. To arrange a conversation with our team\, reach us here.
