DESCRIPTION:If you’re looking for a good place to send your kids during Spring Break\, our Pop-Up Camp may be the perfect place! \n\nWHAT: A day for kids to learn outdoor skills\, spend time in creation\, and have a ton of fun! During this day-long event\, campers will spend time outside\, do fun activities\, and learn about wilderness preparedness! As always\, there will be a variety of activities and yummy snacks 🙂\nWHERE: Mennonite Heritage Centre Gallery\, 600 Shaftesbury Blvd\, Winnipeg (behind CMU’s South Campus building)\nWHEN: March 30\, 9 AM to 3 PM\nWHO: Kids ages 6-11\nHOW MUCH: $30 per camper (use code POPUP10 to receive a 10% discount if registering more than 1 camper and/or registering for more than one pop-up camp event!)\nWHAT TO BRING: waterbottle\, bag lunch\, weather appropriate clothing (rain boots\, rain jacket)\n\nWe strongly recommend that your camper brings and wears a mask for this event\n\n\n\nRegistration is a two step process. DESCRIPTION:Explore the outdoors after school this Spring!\nWe are passionate about supporting children’s discovery of the awe and wonder of the natural world\, deepening their love and knowledge of their place\, and helping them to be more confident outdoors. \nWho: Our after-school program is designed for children from Grades K-7. There are only 12 spaces available. Children will engage in outdoor learning\, team building\, leadership and have fun together.  \nWhat: \n\nTeam building and leadership\nAmphibian pond surveys\nNative tree and plant identification\nPlanting seeds and seedlings\nMaking a forest feast with wild edibles\n\nWhen: After school from 3:30pm – 5:00pm on Tuesdays for 8 weeks (April 5 – May 24) \nWhere: All programming will take place at A Rocha Brooksdale: 1620 192 St\, Surrey\, BC V3Z 9V2. The kids will explore our farm\, river\, wetland and forest habitats here at Brooksdale. \nWhy: Kids will have a fully outdoor\, fun and safe opportunity to make friends in a small group with very experienced teachers/leaders. Some learning outcomes include: \n\nLeadership and teamwork\nConfidence and comfort in the outdoors\nCuriosity and wonder in nature\nDeepened appreciation of indigenous knowledge\nJoy and excitement through fun and adventure\nDeeper connections to nature\, self and others\n\nHow to Register: \n\nSign up  and make payment through Eventbrite. \nDownload and complete the A ROCHA Registration Form and Parent Information & Agreement\nReturn forms at least 7 days prior to the day you registered for.
