SUMMARY:Silence in the Seasons Retreat
DESCRIPTION:“In the morning\, while it was still very dark\, he [Jesus] got up and went out to a deserted place\, and there he prayed” – Mark 1:35 \nMany of us plan to set aside time to pray and listen in the stillness\, but find that in our good intentions we forget or simply don’t follow through. You can join a cohort of fellow pilgrims to set aside time during each season this year (Fall\, Winter\, Spring & Summer). By joining you will be guided into a generous space of silence\, prayer and listening with the intention of connecting and becoming more aware of God’s presence and love. \nSilence in the Seasons Retreat series is intended to create space for people to come away from the busyness and demands of day-to-day life. Become still and aware of God’s presence as we listen in the place of the boreal forest over the seasons. DESCRIPTION:We’ve been working hard on a new field guide for the Boreal Ecology Centre. Come help us celebrate its draft release on World Migratory Bird Day! Canoe down the Boggy River (bring your own boat)\, hike or bird watch in the forest\, relax at the lodge or join a volunteer work project. Explore fun ways to learn together outdoors! Bring a $5 donation for a simple meal and we’ll enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch together. \nOptional overnight available! Let us know if you’d like to spend a night at the lodge. May 10-11. Limited space available. Arrive after 6 pm for games\, music\, or an evening outdoor jaunt. We’ll do an optional early morning bird walk to welcome back our migratory birds.
