SUMMARY:Summer Hike Series - Birds Hill Park (Winnipeg\, MB)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening hike in Birds Hill Park on the Esker trail. This is an easy 6.0 km loop through the forest\, with a stop at the esker lookout half way. Birds Hill Provincial Park is a mosaic of landscapes not commonly found in such close association\, such as esker ridges\, dry prairie\, wet meadows\, bogs\, and aspen-oak and mixed boreal forest communities. \nWe will meet at the parking lot of the horse stables at 7:00pm. Hike starts at 7:15. We will hike rain or shine\, so dress for the weather. \nTake the North Drive and turn at Nimowin Rd to get to the stables. Don’t forget your park pass if you are driving out! \nEmail zoe.matties@arocha.ca if you would like to come but don’t have a ride.
