DESCRIPTION:Join us on April 26th (new date) for our Vernal Pools workshop\, led by local environmental educator and friend of A Rocha Ontario\, Mary-Ann Meyer.\nTogether\, we will explore these ephemeral habitats and their unique species with special adaptations and life histories while taking a hike in the Bruce Trail. We will be meeting at the Bruce Trail Parking Lot on Twiss Rd (7342 Twiss Rd\, Campbellville\, ON) at 10am ET. Our hike will last around 2 hours\, and we ask that you carpool with others as there is limited parking available. \nFor children under the age of 12\, please purchase a children’s ticket. Please note that all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please register below. \nUpdate: Please note that this event has been rescheduled to Saturday\, April 26th.\nSliding Scale Pricing\nWe believe in the value of our programs and we know you do too! That’s why we have introduced sliding scale pricing this year; we are happy to have you come at any rate you select. Instead of a fixed fee\, you can choose from one of three fee options when registering: \n\nSubsidized Rate: Choose this one if cost is a barrier to you attending. We are able to offer this option due to the generosity of our supporters\, including donors and grants.\nTrue-Value Rate: This is what we estimate to be a fair cost for the event. It helps us cover costs of staff\, materials\, and other fees associated with running the event.\nPay-It-Forward Rate: Choose this one if you want to invest in the future of A Rocha programming and help others be able to come at the subsidized rate.\n\nBy offering tiered pricing\, we aim to balance affordability with sustainability\, making our programs accessible while also providing participants with an opportunity to support their community. DESCRIPTION:Caleb Cray Haynes blends the heart of a pastor with the passion of a creation care advocate and practitioner. For many years\, he has been equipping God’s people in his writing\, speaking\, and podcasting to explore “what it means to be Christian on planet Earth.” Join us as we learn more about his work\, digging into soil\, and how he incorporates the care of creation into congregational life. \nThis month’s Church Earthkeepers Meetup will take place from 6pm to 7.15pm on Tuesday\, April 29th 2025. \nMore about the Monthly Church Earth keepers Meetup: \nAre you mobilizing your church to care for creation? Do you wish more people shared your interest? Then join like-minded folks for a Church Earth keepers Meet-Up. At these monthly sessions we’ll learn from each other by swapping stories as a way to encourage and equip us to catalyze earth keeping at church. Come prepared to share your ideas and to hear what works for others as we build a network of regular people working to care for creation within a local church setting. \nThese online gatherings will take place the last Tuesday of every month at 5 PM – 6.15 PM Pacific Time (8 PM – 9.15 PM Eastern Time).
