SUMMARY:EarthKeepers Club (May 2025)
DESCRIPTION:The EarthKeepers Club is a space for youth (ages 12-16) to connect with others their age that have similar interests in the environment and conservation. An example of a typical day might look like a work project to remove invasive species in the morning\, followed by a discussion over lunch about what it means to be a good steward\, and wrapping up by catching and identifying dragonflies in the afternoon. Through this program\, we aim to make a tangible impact and have fun along the way! \nThe EarthKeepers Club currently has no cost to join and runs from April-November\, usually on the second Saturday of each month. We are able to offer 3 volunteer hours for high school students that participate in a program day \nRegistration\nBook your ticket to let us know you’re coming! DESCRIPTION:A Preview of This Month’s Church Earth Keepers Meetup: \nHave you ever run into roadblocks when recruiting people at your church to care for creation? What are the concerns or hesitations you encounter? This month we’re going to do something a bit different. Our host\, Rick Faw\, will facilitate a conversation about the hurdles and questions that often arise as we engage our church members. Let’s learn together how we might respond more constructively and hopefully. \nMore about the Monthly Church Earth keepers Meetup: \nAre you mobilizing your church to care for creation? Do you wish more people shared your interest? Then join like-minded folks for a Church Earth keepers Meet-Up. At these monthly sessions we’ll learn from each other by swapping stories as a way to encourage and equip us to catalyze earth keeping at church. Come prepared to share your ideas and to hear what works for others as we build a network of regular people working to care for creation within a local church setting.\nThese online gatherings will take place the last Tuesday of every month at 5 PM – 6:15 PM Pacific Time (8 PM – 9.15 PM Eastern Time).
