DESCRIPTION:Join A Rocha Ottawa for our Winter Activities\, Potluck Supper and Evening Program! \nIf you are unable to the afternoon activities\, feel free to join us for supper and the evening program. \nSchedule:\n2:00 pm Winter Activities\nJoin us in Gatineau Park for winter outdoor activities including hiking\, snowshoeing\, and cross-country skiing. You can choose your activity. We will lead a group cross-country ski for anyone who would like to join us. We have plenty of cross-country ski equipment available for those who don’t have any. If you intend to snowshoe you will need to bring your own snowshoes. Meet at 264 Kingsmere at 2:00 pm. (for directions or for a ride please send an e-mail to: paul.heintzman@arocha.ca ). \n5:30 pm Potluck Supper\nPlease RSVP and let us know what you plan to bring so that we can plan accordingly. \n7:00 pm Coping with Climate Grief: A Christian Perspective\nDr. Carmen Hust and Dr. Nancy Brookes will lead an interactive exploration of our climate grief and how our Christian faith can move us from denial or despair to claiming our agency as a means to live in harmony with all God’s creation. Carmen is a retired professor of nursing and Nancy is a retired psychiatric nurse. Both involved with CANE- Canadian Nurses for the Environment. \nPlease RSVP via email to paul.heintzman@arocha.ca to let us know if you will be attending and what you will be bringing for the potluck supper.

SUMMARY:Church EarthKeepers Meet-Up (January 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Once a month meet-up with people mobilizing earthkeeping at churches. Are you mobilizing your church to care for creation? Do you wish more people shared your interest? Then join like-minded folks for a Church Earthkeepers Meet-Up. At these monthly sessions we’ll learn from each other by swapping stories as a way to encourage and equip us to catalyze earthkeeping at church. Come prepared to share your ideas and to hear what works for others as we build a network of regular people working to care for creation within a local church setting. \nThese online gatherings will take place the last Tuesday of every month at 5 PM – 6 PM Pacific Time (8 PM – 9 PM Eastern Time).
