Inspiring A Rocha friend.\nStories of the work of A Rocha flourishing in Ontario through community gardening\, educational workshops and more.\n\nDetails: \n\n6:30pm Doors Open. 7pm Dinner.\nCasual Dress\n\nThis is A Rocha’s annual fundraising event in Ontario. \nReserve Your Spot\n\n3 Great Presenters\nMolly Thomas\, Emcee\nMolly Thomas is an award winning TV Host/Correspondent/Producer from Regina\, SK who now resides in Toronto\, ON. During her career\, she has worked for all three major networks in Canada and the Rwandan national news station abroad. Her most recent international projects have been with the faith-based\, current affairs show Context with Lorna Dueck. During her career\, Molly has reported from Somalia\, Turkey\, Iraq\, Jordan\, Haiti\, France\, England\, Rwanda\, Uganda and New York. She speaks at various conferences and panels on her journalistic pursuits. In 2015\, she finished an MA in Global Affairs at the Munk School\, University of Toronto. She believes the environment should be a key conversation for Christians who have been entrusted with God’s creation. In her spare time\, she MCs several charity events\, teaches Zumba\, loves to eat wings\, and is always up for a competitive game of basketball! \nBrian Walsh\, Speaker\nDr. Brian Walsh is a Christian Reformed Campus minister at the University of Toronto\, where he pastors the Wine Before Breakfast community\, and leads a staff team in campus ministry. He was Senior Member in Worldview Studies at the Institute for Christian Studies (1988-96)\, has taught in the Creation Care Studies Program in Belize and New Zealand\, and also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Faculty of Divinity at Trinity College. \nDr. Walsh writes and teaches at the interface of biblical theology and contemporary culture. His work is decidedly interdisciplinary in scope ranging across the disciplines of biblical studies\, theology\, philosophy\, social science and cultural analysis. Within the framework of a contextual biblical theology\, his work has led him to address themes such as the nature of worldviews\, postmodernity\, empire\, home and homelessness\, liturgy\, contemporary music. Dr. Walsh lives on a solar-powered organic farm with his wife\, Sylvia Keesmaat\, where he is still trying to grow a potato crop as good as his garlic. \nGlen Soderholm\, Musician\nGlen currently lives in Guelph\, Ontario where he spends much of his time inhabiting his downtown neighbourhood establishments\, while giving pastoral leadership to a small but feisty missional community called Two Rivers Church. Having established a recording and touring career during the first decade of the 21st century\, he continues to travel on occasion to sing\, teach on worship\, and tell stories about life in his parish.
