SUMMARY:Church Earthkeepers Meet-Up
DESCRIPTION:Once a month meet-up with people mobilizing earthkeeping at churches.\nAre you mobilizing your church to care for creation? Do you wish more people shared your interest? Then join like-minded folks for a Church Earthkeepers Meet-Up. At these monthly sessions we’ll learn from each other by swapping stories as a way to encourage and equip us to catalyze earthkeeping at church. Come prepared to share your ideas and to hear what works for others as we build a network of regular people working to care for creation within a local church setting. \nThese online gatherings will take place the last Tuesday of every month at 5 PM – 6 PM Pacific Time (8 PM – 9 PM Eastern Time). The following are the scheduled dates for the next six months: \n\nJune 28\nJuly 26\nAugust 30\nSeptember 27\nOctober 25\nNovember 29\n\nDetails including the Zoom link will be available upon registration.

SUMMARY:A Rocha Talks: Responding to the Groaning of Creation in a Changing Climate
DESCRIPTION:Stories of Christian climate activism\, from organizing prayer gatherings to witnessing at the international climate negotiations.\nClimate change is affecting everyone on earth. But so often the solutions feel out of reach. What can “little-old-me” do in the face of such a complex web of global\, interconnected problems? In this A Rocha Talk we’ll hear from people that have used the weight of ecological concerns to fuel action and engagement. Learn how you\, too\, can join in responding to the groaning of creation and the renewal of all things. \nWe will converse with: \n\nLowell Bliss\, a missionary with more than 15 years of experience in mobilizing Christians in climate actions\, the co-funding director of Christian Climate Observers Program (CCOP) and the Climate Intercessors initiative.\nPeter Fargo\, a national park manager turned climate advocate in recent years\, and now the co-founder of Climate Vigil.\nEllie Auton-Strolz\, a former intern at A Rocha’s Brooksdale Centre\, currently studying at UBC. She participated at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow UK last November through CCOP.
