SUMMARY:Boggy River Survey (Boreal Ecology Centre\, MB)
DESCRIPTION:WHAT and WHY: Our annual survey of the health of the Boggy River system and the biodiversity it supports. Maintaining an awareness of the Boggy River can lead us to asking new questions and open new opportunities for research\, learning\, and conservation.\nWHO: You! We’re looking for willing volunteers who care about creation and nature conservation. SUMMARY:Permaculture Workshop #3: Native Plants (Winnipeg\, MB)
DESCRIPTION:Learn with us about native plants from Caroline Chartrand!Permaculture is “the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity\, stability\, and resilience of natural ecosystems” (permaculturenews.org). Permaculture takes significant wisdom and inspiration from traditional Indigenous farming practices around the world. \nThe Metanoia Farmers Workers Cooperative (also known as the CMU Farm) is making a big transition to permaculture\, and you’re invited to come along for the journey and learn with them and with us! \nThis workshop will be led by Indigenous seed saver Caroline Chartrand!  \nCome prepared to learn and work. If you need ability-based accommodations\, please let us know and we’ll find a way for you to participate! \nPlease RSVP below.
